This woman is Vulpus. Coyote allows these rumors to continue, but the truth is far different. Like Coyote, she uses an alias because humans tend to butcher her real name, and works in the spy trade. In fact, she was his handler during the days of the OSS, and was very hands on. She’s more active than Coyote and is always running operations, hence why she is a silent partner who simply collects her share of the revenue. As for the rumors of her holding power over him, they are greatly exaggerated. Simply put, while is is true that the dark elves are a matriarchal society, they hold tremendous mutual respect for one another and value each other’s counsel. They are equals in intellect and cunning, while she holds the advantage in mundane spy craft and weapons use versus his sorcery. Finally, they share senses of humor, but they’re reflected by their disparate upbringings, with her coming from the nobility whereas he clawed his way up from the streets of their homeland.
