Chlotilde “Chloe” Babineaux is the founder and owner of Paladin Tactical Services, a private security and intelligence company based out of GE City. Vulpus set her up in a mercenary company, where she excelled. Five years later, she had learned enough to strike out on her own, and departed to form her own company. Coyote set her up with the necessary funds, and leveraged his contacts to get her some early, important contracts. In the past three years, she has expanded operations and is no longer dependent on Coyote’s contacts. In addition to private security, she has set up investigations, bodyguard, and training divisions, and has floated the idea of forming her own arms and armor divisions, earning the nickname “The Mercenary Queen.” Hilda Kennedy counts herself among satisfied clients after having Adrian Vega assigned to her, and she pays Leon Azarola as an occult services consultant. Those who know her on a professional level have noted her level headedness and ability to command a room as well as the respect of others. Many are terrified of crossing her. Those who have gotten to know her on a personal level know that this is just a mask. She donates a sizeable chunk of her income to charities and sponsors scholarships, trying to elevate those who are in the same circumstances that she was in. She often makes decisions not just based on profitability, but also based on the talent that she employs. She’ll often cover expenses out of her own pocket for her employees, and she’ll often “forget” that employees who are struggling took out a draw. A perfect example of her hidden soft side is that she’s noticed the burgeoning romance between Adrian Vega and Hilda Kennedy and not only has she not reassigned him, but is quietly encouraging it, even if it means losing both Adrian’s services as well as the Kennedy contract.?
