Chapter 13 – dinner As the other girls finish showering drying and powdering themselves in their dormitory, The Mistress directs them to their wardrobes where they find new clothes. This time white old fashioned high waist corsets and white panties. They pair up with the girl who will be their bedfellow for the night and help each other hook and lace themselves into the stiff satin garments. The Mistress brings out her own evening clothes in the same style but black and she and the unpaired girl follow the others in donning their clothes, designed in an era when any lady who might wear them would have had the assistance of a maid. Finally it’s time to tidy hair and complete makeup. As a finishing touch, breasts are lightly powdered and polished with silk until they shine. Going to the bar they see that the staff have yet another change of uniform. The barmaid and the two waitresses are all in there, dressed in very western style white blouses and black pencil skirts. For a few seconds some of the girls feel a little self-conscious but soon realise this is just another part of the teasing that The Man has set up for them. The barmaid mixes cocktails and the waitresses bring them to the tables where the girls and The Mistress are seated, waiting the arrival of The Man and the Chosen One. When they do appear, The Man is wearing the same blue robe he had on the night before and the Chosen One is dressed as the other girls but her outfit is in red. As the girls will discover through the week, as each of them has been chosen their evening wear will change from white to red. Drinks finished they all go to the dining room. As the starters are being served, The Man tells them “We’ve all had a fairly energetic day and need refuelling so if you’re feeling hungry don’t hold back, we won’t be going back to the playroom tonight so eat as much as you want to.” The meal that is served is of the highest standard. Jumbo asparagus with garlic vinaigrette, halibut fillet with hollandaise sauce, fillet steak with baby potatoes and broccoli spears, strawberries and cream, and finished with anchovies on toast. Retiring to the bar for coffee and brandies or liqueurs all seems much as before. The waitresses serve the coffee and bring over drinks from the bar, gentle unobtrusive background music is playing, they sit and chat quietly as their dinners begin to dige
