Curious, do anyone use the Nvidia 1030 GDDR5 2GB?
As someone who does not really care for using ultra settings on the latest games at 1080p or higher (actually, my native is 1680x1050), but rather want smooth framerates between 30-60 with medium/high, the 1030 looks pretty decent to me, after watching several videos on Youtube with a variety of system specs and games used, i actually do not care that much for a gfxcard costing more than 300 euros.
Everything is extremely overpriced right now & has been since the bitcoin greedfest!
This card here costs 90 euros right now. Still a bit overpriced compared to all cards out there versus what the prices used to be.
3DSV2 will work perfectly on this, and that's the most important to me. Beside of that, i mostly play Star Trek Online and Star Wars The Old Republic.
The current card i got, a GTX 285 is a powerhog, using 2 6 pin powerconnectors (and sounds like a jetengine while gaming!) vs the 1030 which just use the motherboard to power it, so, it is a win to me.
Still.. I am broke, and stuck with a DX10 card from 2009....

You're correct. 2Gb is getting low these days.
On the other hand, i do not play much games except those mentioned above, + Elite Dangerous, which i forgot to mention.
I do not want to cough up the cash for a high-end card anymore. Not worth it for me.
For creative reasons? Perhaps. I can understand your decision for a lot of memory though.

Wake me up when sexvilla 3 or a similar software uses this type of graphics.

Newer titles the last year and future... 2gb cards are on the last legs. Mind you with the lower res you run at you will gain frames. Not long ago I just upgraded from a 4 to 11gb 1080ti. Mainly for Daz, but going to be ready for Cyberpunk 2077 in march.
