If you're like me, you haven't been able to use the launcher since the switch occurred. After what seems like forever, I finally received a response today from Thrixxx:

Hi.

Thank you for your patience. Our programmers have had a look at your log files and have suggested the following.

1) update your graphics card drivers for Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

2) switch to OpenGL rendered in the configuration dialog

In most of the cases such problems are caused by defective or incompatible graphics drivers.

OPTIONAL
You can also try switching to Direct X:
- when starting the game in the login window click on "Options"
- in the box "Renderer Type" select "Direct X"
- click "Save"
- continue starting the game

Additionally we strongly recommend that you download the latest (OpenGL) graphics driver for your video adapter. First uninstall the current graphics driver then install the newest one.

I updated my Intel graphics driver and then switched the render type to "OpenGL" (since it's typically set for Direct X). Anyway, it actually WORKED! I can finally use the launcher. I wanted to share this in hopes that it helps some of you out. All along I thought it was an issue with my Norton or Windows (since I kept getting a Windows error).
