Forest: Was that Fei you were talking to before you made the coffee? Tia: Yes, she said they’re staying in some sort of retirement home, still in Bumcrack. Forest: Retirement! The lazy old bugger! I know he’s got the pub there but he really ought to keep his mind alive. Tia: Fei said he’s got some fascination with pot plants – and she didn’t mean the combustible variety. Forest: That’s a turn round! When we were investigating the Black Rose murders he was at daggers drawn with gardener Titchmarsh. Tia: Well we can go and visit them – there’s a guest suite where they’re staying and it will be Smokey’s treat. Forest: That’s an offer we can’t refuse. Sort out some dates with Fei and I can let the H&T know we’ll be paying a visit.
